Questions- The road to total control

questionsWhat is this post about? Is it interesting? Do I want to read more? Evert time you read a post these are usually the questions you ask yourself, even without noticing. We ask ourselves questions all the time. Questions help us understand our feelings and stands about a particular subject.

Perhaps the most important type of questions is about meaning and pain/gain.

Questions about meaning just as they sound ask what does it mean? For example you’re walking down the street and a beautiful woman smiles at you, in your mind you’re asking yourself what does it mean? You will act according to your answer, if it means she likes you, you may ask her out.

Questions about pain/gain are questions you ask to determine whether something will be painful or helpful. For instance in the same example above when she smiles at you after you have asked yourself what does it mean and you have decided that it means she likes you, the second question that you will probably ask is if I ask her out will it be painful or enjoyable?

Another type of important questions is what if questions. These questions are usually utilized in the negative meaning, e.g. what if he won’t like me? A simple but effective technique is to reverse the question what if he will like me?

The reason questions are so important is because they direct our intention towards the subject we ask about. E.g. if you ask yourself why does bad things always happen to me? Then you are focusing on the negative. Whenever we ask long enough we eventually get an answer even if it’s the wrong one. In the example I specified your mind can answer something like “because I don’t deserve to be happy” or “because I’m bad”.

Most of the time the questions and subsequent answers happen at a blink of an eye they are automated. We don’t even realize that we think that way.

We can use the power of questions for our advantage simply by asking ourselves the “right” questions.

Here is a list of good questions:
What can I learn from the event?
How can I improve?
What have I learned today?
What qualities do I need to achieve success?
What qualities do I need to become successful?
How can I become a better person?
How can I help others and myself?

You can add your own just make sure they are positive.
